Background
Shanghai Disney Resort is mainland China's first Disney theme park, jointly built by Shanghai Shendi Group and The Walt Disney Company. Its phase-I opening-day footprint was about 3.9 km², with NDRC-approved total investment of about ¥24.5 billion, opening on 16 June 2016.
The enormous scale, many international participants and complex cross-discipline work demanded high collaboration efficiency and full-process traceability in design and construction.
Solution
An engineering collaboration platform unified drawings, documents, process and multi-party collaboration, standardizing file versions, approvals and change flow so all correspondence is traceable and evidenced — supporting efficient cross-organization, cross-language collaboration.
Value
Connecting information flow among many participants reduced communication and rework cost, safeguarding the schedule, quality and compliant delivery of a mega-project.
